Dr. Daniela Araujo

Dr. Daniela Araujo is Program Manager of Sustainable Development and Economic Issues at the EU-LAC Foundation in Hamburg. She has ten years of work experience in public policy design, monitoring, and evaluation in the fields of education and socio-economic development, as well as five years of academic experience as researcher in the field of economics of education. Her research uses econometric methods to evaluate the effects of teachers and their qualifications on children’s human capital accumulation, as well as the impact of policies implemented to raise teacher effectiveness, particularly in developing countries.

Dr. Araujo has a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Bamberg in Germany, a master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. She has collaborated with organizations such as Global Development Network (GDN), UNESCO, Global Integrity and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
