Infinity Maps

Digital whiteboards play a significant role in teaching. They enable students to collaborate digitally, regardless of their physical location. Innovative features enhance the visualization of ideas and information, thereby supporting learning and working processes.

You can register for free here and use Infinity Maps with a reduced feature set (up to three maps, each with 300 cards). Please do not use your university password for registration. Accounts that were previously licensed under the Co³Learn consortium project will automatically transition to a free account. Created maps will remain intact.

What is Infinity Maps and how can I use it?

Infinity Maps is a mind mapping tool that represents ideas and thoughts through hierarchies and branching structures within a single map. It serves to visualize complex information, creating new, intuitive, and digital ways to process teaching content.

The tool offers an unlimited workspace for mind maps. Learners and instructors can seamlessly switch between nested whiteboards using the zoom function. Infinity Maps is particularly well-suited for group work in seminars. Through various mind map hierarchies, research topics and interconnected thematic complexes can be visually and systematically presented.

Possible Use Cases

Group Work
Infinity Maps allows learners to collaboratively design maps simultaneously. This ensures that all group members can develop their individual contributions in alignment with the shared project. At the end of the group work, completed maps can be presented in presentation mode along a predefined path. Feedback can also be directly integrated into the map, ensuring it is preserved and actionable.

Deepening complex learning content
Infinity Maps enables learners to deepen their understanding of teaching content. By zooming between nested maps, learning content is hierarchically connected. Complex seminar topics can thus be introduced step by step by instructors and progressively worked through by students, leading to more effective learning outcomes. Creating multiple nested mind maps allows for the establishment of connections between different learning topics.

Learning structuring
Infinity Maps offers the ability to create timetables. Additionally, personal notes can be uploaded. Learners can now structure learning content across the various nested maps. Content can be prioritized and marked using color coding. Through intuitive navigation between organized content, a clear and personalized learning structure can be established.
