Night of Forests: Exploring Forest Research Under the Night Sky

Join us on June 27th, 19:00, at the Forest Botanical Garden for an evening dedicated to forest science and international research experiences, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Two recipients of the Innovation Pool Short-Term Scientific Missions grant will share insights from their research stays abroad and present how these experiences enriched their scientific career. They will also share advice about the grant application process.

Presentations:

  • Leona Ottens – Recovery of German forests through early-successional tree species: possible lessons from Finland
  • Sharath Paligi – Bridging data gaps in tree hydraulics: insights from a global biodiversity hotspot, Western Ghats, India
The talks will be followed by an interactive forest quiz to test your knowledge about forest science and forests in general. The evening will be accompanied by snacks and drinks free of charge.
