The Department Forest Inventory and Remote Sensing (Prof. Dr. Christoph Kleinn) is contact point of the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology for various University partnership programmes with Universities in Latin America.

The University partnerships have, among others, the objective to foster the exchange of students and teaching staff, to facilitate the preparation of joint research projects and to strengthen the international research network of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

For students, chances are best to successfully apply for travel grants when they are in their MSc studies and have a good BSc grade.

Knowledge of Spanish is required in all cases.

We do also have exchange contacts to various other research institutions in Latin America with which formal partnership agreements do not exist.
