Master of Education: Chemistry
The study course Master of Education must be studied after completion of a two-subject Bachelor course, if a teacher career is intended. In addition to the two subject areas, topics in pedagogy and didactics are taught in the professionalisation module of the study course. Students benefit from a close, practice-related cooperation of the Faculty of Chemistry with different partner schools and the XLAB ? Göttinger Experimentallabor für junge Leute e.V. (Göttingen Experimental Laboratory for Young Persons).

The Master course in chemistry is subject to entrance limitations. Therefore, an application process takes place before enrolment. The study course can be started each year in the winter or summer semester. The regular period of study is 4 semesters.
Information on the winter semester 2022/23According to the current planning status, lectures and lab courses in the winter semester 2022/23 will take place in attendance with the respective valid infection protection measures and, with a few exceptions, possibly in rooms with reduced heating in accordance with the energy-saving requirements. You can increase the safety of classroom teaching for yourself and others by getting vaccinated before the start of the semester, if you have not already done so. You are also welcome to use the vaccination offers of the vaccination center and the city of Göttingen.
