IARD-Program with Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia

The Faculty of Agriculture in Göttingen and the IPB have been cooperating in teaching and research since the 1990s. Since 2011, they have been exchanging students and developing a common curriculum for the postgraduate course in International Agribusiness and Rural Development (IARD). The programme speakers are Prof. Dr. Stephan von Cramon-Taubadel, Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (on behalf of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Göttingen) and Prof. Dr. Suharno (on behalf of the IPB).

The International Agribusiness and Rural Development (IARD) program in cooperation with the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) lasts 19 months, starting in Bogor in September and ending two years later in August in Göttingen.

The first and second semesters (coursework) are taken at the IPB from September to July of the following year. Students can take up to seven modules per semester. The third semester (coursework) and the fourth semester (thesis) are taken at the University of Göttingen.
