  • 2024: Field research stay in Cambodia (2 weeks), funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation

  • Since 2023: Research Associate, Institute for Methods and Methodological Foundations of the Social Sciences (until 2024: Institute of Sociology), Bachelor's program in Social Sciences. Teaching (4 SWS), academic advising, leader of the annual field trip "Arbeitsmarkt Berlin (Berlin Labor Market)" for 120 students, twice recognized as a faculty Good Practice teaching example. Research on the social and spiritual consequences of sand mining on the Mekong River in Cambodia.

  • 2016-2023: Research Associate, Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology, Georg-August University of Göttingen. Teaching (2-4 SWS), academic advising (M.A. program), Managing Editor of the GISCA Occasional Paper Series (2018-2023), mid-level faculty representative for the institute (2019-2023), Visiting Lecturer at the University of Social Sciences & Humanities (VNU-USSH) in Hanoi, Vietnam (Summer Semester 2019), twice recognized as a Good Practice teaching example by the faculty. 2020: Position as part of the call for proposals "Freedom for Faculty to Develop Innovative Teaching and Learning Concepts" (Göttingen Campus QPLUS project)

  • 2020: Publication of the dissertation "Spirits in Cambodia – Power, Existence, and Ritual Practice".

  • 2011-2015: Scholarship recipient from the German National Academic Foundation. Doctoral project "Spirits and Spirit Mediums in Cambodia – Practice, Power, and Politics", one-year fieldwork in Cambodia, 2012-13.

  • 2011: Temporary position as Research Coordinator for the BMBF-funded project "Dynamics of Religion in Southeast Asia" (DORISEA), Georg-August University of Göttingen.

  • 2010-2011: Research Associate, Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology, Georg-August University of Göttingen, research trip to Cambodia (1 month), taught the course "Bruno Latour and Actor-Network Theory". 2011: Organized the workshop "Spirits in Modern Asia".

  • 2010: Master of Arts in Cultural Studies, University of Bremen. Master's thesis under Prof. Dr. Dracklé and Prof. Peter Bräunlein on the topic "Jathilan—A Trance Dance in the Yogyakarta Region, Indonesia".

  • 2004-2010: Studied cultural and religious studies (Magister Artium) at the University of Bremen. 2007-2008: Research stay in Indonesia and studies at the CRCS (Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies) in Yogyakarta.
