Dr. Annekathrin Holzberger, Coach

After completing her legal studies in Gießen and Kiel (focus on business and tax law), Anne started a doctorate at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen in June 2011. Her doctoral thesis concerns the parties’ agreement with the respective arbitrator and related questions arising in substantive and private international law (“Die materiellrechtliche und kollisionsrechtliche Einordnung des Schiedsrichtervertrages”).

Until the submission of her dissertation this spring she was employed as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Joachim Münch. In this context she got involved in the work on a commentary on German arbitration law (Münchener Kommentar zur ZPO – §§ 1025 ff.) and was awarded a prize for the best tutorial.

Working as a research assistant at a law firm in Frankfurt, Annekathrin was able to broaden her knowledge of international arbitration law, before starting an internship at B. Braun Melsungen AG in June. Since September she is a legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court of Braunschweig. In October she also started working as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Münch again.

During her leisure time the licensed trainer runs fitness courses, plays golf and takes part in the university’s orchestra (violin).
