How will the ELT explore the Universe?

ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope, currently under construction in Chile, will be the largest optical/infrared telescope in the world. The light collected by its massive 39 m mirror will be analysed by sophisticated instruments, and in this live event you will learn about two of them: METIS and MICADO. The Astrophysics at Göttingen University is partner in the development of the latter instrument. You will screen for the first time two exclusive short movies about these instruments, and experts from each instrument’s team will answer your questions live. You can ask your questions during the event on YouTube and Facebook, or using the hashtag #AskESO on Twitter.
