Change of Perspective - Global Learning: Intercultural Experiences and Interdisciplinary Diversity

• Lecturers in Göttingen and their international partners have integrated digital collaboration formats into their teaching programmes and curricula.
• Students and lecturers apply the digital skills they have gained through virtual cooperation.
• Processes in the field of learning, teaching and blended mobility are digitalised across universities and contribute to the development of interoperable student data ecosystems (in the sense of the Groningen Declaration).
• International digital cooperation formats are accessible to further target groups, making intercultural experiences possible for students whose financial or personal circumstances do not allow physical mobility.
• A community of practice for the exchange of experience and good practices has been established.

Four projects

In order to further develop and establish the diverse and versatile use of Virtual Exchange formats in different collaborative settings in a tailored way, “Change of perspective” supports a portfolio of innovative projects in different faculties. The projects are based on individually developed concepts, and learning objectives as well as means to develop competencies are aligned with the current status of the partnerships and the objectives of the respective partners.


• Virtual Supply Chain Management Teaching in Germany and Italy (VISTA) Virtual Supply Chain Management Teaching in Germany and Italy (VISTA)
  Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a very interdisciplinary as well as international topic in all universities worldwide. In our project we develop a collaboration with the department of industrial engineering of the Italian University of Trento. In total six courses over a period of two semesters will be available in comprehensive, accessible, and innovative digital platforms and formats for students in Göttingen and Trento. More...
  
• Global Shakespeare 2.0 Global Shakespeare 2.0
  The project "Global Shakespeare 2.0" aims at establishing a teaching collaboration between Sichuan University in China, Pune University and Ashoka University, both in India, as well as Georg-August-University of Göttingen, with the aim of enabling students and lecturers to change their perspective on a canonical author. Together we are developing a digital teaching programme, which will be offered to students at all four universities. Therefore, on the one hand, the project offers new means of access, expands digital skills and provides global and completely different approaches and perspectives, and on the other hand, it fosters long-term international partnerships.   In the project "Transatlantic Virtual Academic Cooperation", lecturers from the Intercultural LearningLab work together with lecturers from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, to develop new digital collaboration formats and didactic concepts that promote the development of transversal competencies (critical and innovative thinking, intercultural understanding, digital skills, teamwork, communication skills). This will enable intercultural encounters and the development of competencies in collaborative, virtual, intercultural teaching and learning formats. More...

  Fokus Balkan Online is a blended-learning business game developed and digitalised by the “Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Baden-Württemberg” and CIVIC, which simulates the procedure of the admission of third countries as pre-accession countries to the European Union (EU) in the Western Balkans. The aim of the project is to prepare this successful business game for international digital teaching and learning in higher education and to make it available in the long term. Lecturers from the Universities of Belgrade, for the perspective of the candidate countries, the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, for its expertise in digital business games, and the Andrássy University of Budapest, for its expertise in the EU enlargement process, are working together and are developing a joint digital business game seminar.
