Alexandre Baril, Ph.D. in Women's Studies and Assistant Professor at the Institute of Social Work of the University of Ottawa, spoke in his lecture on the linkage of trans and disability. Based on the empirical basis that disability and chronic diseases are more common in trans persons than in cis persons, Baril asked why.
