Successfull start of the third round of the Dorothea-Schlözer-Mentoring Programme

On the 5th of December, together with the UMG, the opening ceremony of the of the third round of the Dorothea-Schlözer-Mentoring Programme took place. In this context, the 27 young researchers were welcomed by the president of the University, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Beisiegel. Out of the 27 new mentees, 13 PhDs take part in the group mentoring and 14 Postdocs take part in the one-to-one mentoring.

In addition to the welcome by the president of the scientific advisory board the president prof. Dr. Ulrike Beisiegel spoke about her experiences as a woman in a leading position. Additionally former mentees talked about their expereinces in the mentoring programme. Afterwards the neurobiologist Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther held a speech about the topic "The secret of what Germans call „Gelingen“-– die Bedeutung personaler Begleitung auf dem Weg zu dem, was Englisch „Mastery“ heißt“." The evening closed at the buffet.
