Plant and Equipment Planning (Master)

Learnign Objectives:
The Students:

  • know the properties of specifications in plant management
  • know the basics of mass and energy balancing
  • can apply investment and cost estimation methods
  • can carry out layout planning methods
  • can apply dynamic programming using the example of capacity expansion problems
  • know the basics of the energy industry as well as the challenges and solution strategies in the area of conventional and renewable energy supply



Course Content:
The lecture deals with connections in the planning and operation of industrial plants. Methods for cost and investment estimation as well as operations research approaches to capacity planning are presented. Another focus of the learning content is production planning in the energy industry.
