SFB 1073 Atomic scale control of energy conversion

Public Outreach

The central objective of our outreach work is the public presentation of the CRC 1073‘s research subjects, methods and results. Thereby we want to contribute to the societal debate about renewable energies and spark interest in energy sciences.

The first focus of our outreach work is on the participation in fairs and public events like the IdeenExpo in Hannover, the Göttinger Woche des Wissens or the MINT – Technik zum Anfassen. We offer demonstration experiments and the possibility to discuss questions with scientists from the CRC.

The second focus is on school student groups. Therefor we offer workshops which gain insight into the research of the CRC and which are tailored to the knowledge and interest of the students. These workshops are then realized at the CRCs institutes.

Additionally we offer workshops and holidaycamps in cooperation with the XLAB – Göttinger Experimentallabor für junge Leute for school students on various topics in energy sciences.

Further information on the CRC‘s activities and a gallery of pictures from past events can be found on the right. Interested teachers and students can find more information on the workshops in our flyer.
