We have open PhD positions, in particular in the fields of cell and protein mechanics, cytoskeletal filament mechanics, cell mechanics and X-ray imaging and scattering (see also our latest publications, i.e. Schaedel et al, Nature Communications (accepted), Lorenz et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 2019, Kraxner et al., Nanoscale (2021), Schepers et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. (accepted), Forsting et al., Nano Lett. (2019), Block et al., Sci. Adv. (2018), Block et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. (2017)). We have also one open Postdoc position. Please let us know if you are interested and contact anyone of our group or Sarah Köster directly.
One open PhD position: 75% E13 within the SFB 1286 (initially limited to 3 years)
One open Postdoc position: 100% E13 within MBExC (for 1.5 years until end of 2022)
Projects for Bachelors and Masters theses and positions for PhD candidates are available throughout the year and upon request. We are always looking for motivated students to work on our different projects.
We also welcome more advanced young researchers in our group and are happy to share the excellent infrastructure. If you are a postdoc with your own funding or willing to apply for your own funding, please contact us. Likewise, in case you would like to start you own independent junior research group with secured funding (e.g. ERC Starting Grant, Emmy Noether Fellowship of the DFG or similar) please contact us, so we can discuss the possibilities we can offer in Göttingen.
