Summer School workshop Göttingen

The joint effort of DAAD, Göttingen University (Germany) and Talca University (Chile) made possible the Summer School between both Universities as part of the International Agribusiness and Rural Development Program (IARD).

The main objective was to show and exchange ideas and observations of the thesis proposals between both universities and the students of IARD. The students could interact with the professors and also got from them positive suggestions and observations. These helped as an important input on their work. On the other hand both groups of students (who are in Germany and Chile) were able to spend time together visiting historical places in Berlin and Göttingen.

  • Visit to Berlin

  • The main objective was for the students to learn about the German culture by visiting the Historisches Museum (History Museum), the Reichstag (German Parliament) and a guided tour (Historical highlights: Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, etc.).

"This trip made us become better acquainted with Germany's and Berlin's culture and modern history. It gave us a different perspective of modern historical events, allowing us to see them from a German point of view. This was a very rewarding cultural experience".
