WINT2026

Save the Date: Information Systems Early Career Meeting (WINT) 2026 from March 18–20, 2026 in cooperation with the VHB Conference in Göttingen

We invite young IS scholars to the Information Systems Early Career Meeting (WINT) 2026 at the University of Göttingen. In addition to the usual getting to know each other, networking, and exchanging ideas with known and new colleagues from the IS community, the meeting offers program points specifically for young IS researchers. The target group primarily consists of PostDocs, Assistant and Junior Professors (with and without tenure track). There will also be exciting sessions for other junior researchers (e.g., doctoral candidates interested in an academic career in Information Systems).

As in 2024, WINT 2026 will be hosted in cooperation with the 85th VHB Conference taking place simultaneously at the University of Göttingen. Registration for WINT 2026 is therefore also a registration for the VHB Conference. Details on registration and the WINT 2026 program will be announced shortly.

We would particularly like to point out one thing: Submissions for the Information Systems Track at the VHB Conference can still be made until October 20. We will integrate the track into the WINT 2026 program. Below you will find the Call for the IS Track.

We look forward to an exciting WINT 2026 from March 18–20 in Göttingen.

Call for the IS Track at the VHB Conference:

The track invites authors to submit their scientific contributions on Information Systems topics. We also welcome "Work-in-progress" submissions, which we can develop further together in an intensive discussion during the track. Please indicate whether you are submitting a completed research project (Full Paper) or a Work-In-Progress (WiP). For the latter, we will schedule intensive time for discussion. A Work-In-Progress submission can be significantly shorter than 12 pages.

The submission underlying the presentation must not have been published yet.

Abstracts and manuscripts can be written in German or English. The length of the manuscript, including figures, tables, appendices, and references, should not exceed 12 pages.

Rainer Alt from Electronic Markets and Martin Matzner from the Journal of Service Management Researcher offer a Paper Development Option for submissions. This offers the possibility of explicit feedback from journal representatives with a view to further development for publication.

In summary, the following formats are now possible:

  1. "Work-in-progress", 3-12 pages length (excluding references)

  2. Full Paper of max. 12 pages length (excluding references)

  3. Full Paper as Paper Development for ONE of the above-mentioned journals (approximately corresponding to the length requirements of the respective journal; other formatting requirements of the journal do not have to be met at this stage). If you wish to make use of this option, please send us an email in addition to the submission in the system.

The submission will not be published by the VHB but is intended to provide an opportunity for further development. Further information can be found in the submission portal: https://www.vhb-tagung.de/ or feel free to contact us directly via email.
