Practical Information

Getting here and getting around:
Arrival by train: From railway station to Best Western am Papenberg, take busses nr. 21/23 or 41 and get off at stop Hermann-Rein Strasse.
From railway station to Physics department at Friedrich-Hund Platz, take bus nr 21/23 and get off at stop Tammanstrasse.
Busses nr 21/23 departs from platform D, bus nr 41 departs from platform A. See
this map.

From railway station to downtown hotels: mostly walking distance.

NOTE: WWII bombs removal successfully completed on Sept 23rd! The city of Goettingen has announced the defusal of several WWII bombs on Sept. 23rd. A wide area including the railway station
will be evacuated and shut down. Usually, these operations go smoothly and are completed within the same day, but just in case, please check bahn.de and the City of Goettingen's web page on September 24th for the latest update.

From downtown to Physics Department at Friedrich-Hund Platz, take busses nr 21 or 22 at Platz der Goettinger Sieben, get off at Tammannstrasse.
Bus tickets can be purchased from the bus driver for EUR 2.40 (exact change appreciated, single ride) or from the GOEVB store next to bus platform D at the railway station (single rides or 8 rides for a discount).

Bus tickets will be available for sale at the registration of the workshop! Please have change ready (about 2EURs / ticket).

Workshop Venue:
The workshop will take place in lecture hall HS3 in the Physics building at Friedrich-Hund Platz 1. Enter via the main entrance and then take a left and follow the signs for GOENoneq23.

Hotels, reimbursement for invited speakers
All external invited speakers and organizers will be lodged at Hotel Best Western am Papenberg.
The hotel will directly bill the University.

In order to claim reimbursement for travel expenses (international invited speakers only), please use this form.
We will need this form in print (paper!) and the originals (paper version) of all tickets (for electronic tickets, a pdf will do).

just behind the Gänseliesl fountain. By bus, get off at Markt, Weender Tor or Platz der Göttinger Sieben.

Food options:
North Campus: Restaurant Mazzoni at Best Western, Caphy (Physics Building), North Campus Lunchbox, Several fast food options off B27.
Payment at Caphy and North Campus Lunchbox only possible with staff/guest/student card, so you'll need a local. if possible, please bring change!.
A lunch is about 6 EURs.
