Short description:
Preliminary note: general information about a 2-subject bachelor's degree programme with a teaching profession profile can be found at the office of coordination for teacher education..

The 2-subject bachelor's degree programme with a teaching profession profile at the Georg-August-University Göttingen conveys to the students comprehensive knowledge of current research in physical geography as well as in human geography, along with corresponding literature and methodological approaches. In addition the students will be acquainted and familiarised with geographic-didactical research. Exceeding the technical framework, the student should independently choose profession-preparatory focus points within the elective possibilities of the study program.

The study programme is fully modularised. This means credits will be collected during the study period. The core curriculum (basic knowledge of geography) consists of 66 credits (of which 3 credits are out-of-school geographic didactics). These 66 Credits are composed of 54 credits for compulsory modules and 12 credits for compulsory-elective modules in addition to 3 credits for geographic didactics in school.
