Lehrforschungsprojekt "Awareness, Anthropology and Climate Change" (WS 22/23)

Abstract

This teaching research project involves an experimental attempt to think through international exchanges on climate change and climate justice. The course combines approaches of Anthropology and Aesthetic Research. Methodologically, this course will prepare an anthropological, historical, and aesthetic conduct of a research exercise. After a practice phase and an orientation phase, students will choose their own research topics. The course takes place in collaboration with the course "Discover New York" by Prof. Heidi Upton and her students at St. Johns University in New York. Together, experimental research methods will be comparatively explored in order to practice a mindful research perspective and to learn more about climate justice initiatives in Göttingen and New York.

Output

The results of the interdisciplinary group research will be presented as a research poster. The final posters are exhibited electronically (see below). The written output were published in a separate edited volume "SowiPro". Open the pdf here.
