Göttingen Workshop on Ibero-American Development

Location: University of Göttingen
Date: September 24-25, 2025

The workshop will focus on issues related to development with a focus on Latin America. Including macro and microeconomic perspectives. During the workshop we are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Ana María Ibáñez Londoño, Vice President of the Inter-American Development Bank.

There is an open call for papers for all interested researchers. Applications can be submitted until June 15, 2025.

We thank the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture, the Association of Former Members and Friends of the Ibero-America Institute, and the Georg-August University of Göttingen for their support.

Past Events

Sur Dialogues
Motivated by students’ demands for different perspectives during their studies, we offered a new seminar series, the Sur Dialogues, in October and November 2022. The seminar series gave voice to social scientists from the Global South, particularly from Latin America, to discuss contemporary issues of economic development.
