EnriCo is inviting to its mini conference:

"From Soil to Canopy - Ecosystem functioning in temperate forests"

Inspired by the Göttingen Symposium Forests in the anthropocene", we have the pleasure to welcome an incredible group of researchers for a mini conference as part of our Guest Lecture Series: From Soil to Canopy, Ecosystem functioning in Temperate Forest. During the conference, the invited researchers will offer a unique overview of temperate forest from various theoretical and methodological angles, ranging from tree physiology and biogeochemistry to forest structure.

Thursday, March 30 (1 - 5 pm) and Friday, March 31 (9 am to 12 noon)
at Büsgenweg 2, room F02 [and streamed via zoom]

Target audience are faculty members, researchers, and students of our faculty and related ones (biology, agriculture).

Program: Thursday, March 30, 2023
13:00 Welcome Notes and Introduction
13:15 Dr. Sophia Etzold (WSL): “The rhythm of trees - Growth patterns on different temporal scales and implications for climate-smart forests”

Guest Lecture Series

Each year the RTG invites well know scholars in the field of forest sciences, biology and statistics for guest lectures.
This winter semester our guest lecture series is organized in cooperation with RTG 2123 "Conservation of Forest Biodiversity in Multiple-Use Landscapes of Central Europe" in Freiburg and will take place in an online format via zoom.

If you are interested to join, please register by sending an email to grk2300@uni-goettingen.de with your name and affiliation or reason why you are interested in the talk.

Next guest lectures in 2022 will be given by the following scholars:
