KOOPERATIV: Promoting biodiversity at the landscape level

My research focuses on the assessment and evaluation of ecosystem services and the socio-economic analysis of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). During my doctoral studies in the DFG Research Training Group 1086, I worked on the assessment of local knowledge regarding the concept of ecosystem services and its added value for environmental management in Germany. As part of an interdisciplinary Fitness Check Team https://www.idiv.de/de/cap-fitness-check.html, I analyzed whether the CAP meets its own objectives.
Since July 2020, I have been the coordinator for the ‘KOOPERATIV’ project. KOOPERATIV’s goal is to support biodiversity at the landscape level based on multi-actor cooperation. In this context, I will ensure the inter- and transdisciplinary exchange between the scientific working packages and local actors involved, organize communication processes as well as build networks as a basis for implementation and research on cooperative agri-environmental measures.
