Dr. Gerhard Riener
Dr. Gerhard Riener is Assistant Professor at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, where he works mainly on lab and field experiments concerning labor markets, education and decision theory. He has conducted and participated in numerous studies around the globe, trying to gain a better understanding on human biases in decision making and their relationship with economically relevant questions such as labor market participation or educational attainment.
His research has been published in journals like the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Public Economics or PNAS, among others. He has experience in teaching experimental economics for over 10 years, trying to engage students into doing their own experimental research.
