Kulero

Kulero means "spoon" in Esperanto and thus describes the company's core product. The young start-up has developed edible spoons made from renewable raw materials such as millet and barley as an alternative to conventional disposable cutlery. Even when consuming hot or liquid foods such as soups or cereals, the spoons remain in their original shape. Thus, no (plastic) waste is produced and is instead an additional crunchy snack in different flavors.

The ink is 100% vegan and certified according to EU cosmetics regulation and is skin friendly.

VineForecast

In viticulture, high application rates of fungicides are used every year to protect against fungal diseases, which place a heavy burden on the vineyard ecosystem and at the same time cause high costs for the business. To meet this challenge, the start-up "VineForecast" has developed a forecasting system for diseases in viticulture that supports wineries in cost-efficient and sustainable plant protection. Using local weather and topography data, user interaction and machine learning algorithms, VineForecast calculates disease forecasts for the fungal diseases powdery and downy mildew.

Agvolution

The start-up Agvolution offers environmental monitoring tailored to the cultivation and care of crops and other ecosystem assets. With their very own patented microclimate sensor "CLIMAVI", they record parameters such as temperature, precipitation, and soil moisture, which are collected and evaluated in the company’s "FARMALYZER" platform (a mobile and web-based app). Based on this data, artificial intelligence develops forecasts and practical decision recommendations for resource-efficient crop protection, irrigation and fertilization.
