Curriculum Vitae

Johanna Störiko is a PhD student and staff member at the Institute for Digital Humanities at Göttingen University. She studied history and computer science in a two-subject Bachelor's degree and completed her Master of Science in Applied Computer Science with a focus on Digital Humanities in 2022. She wrote her Master's thesis on the possibilities of semi-automatic cataloguing of advertisements from the turn of the century. During her studies, she worked at the Institute of Computer Science, the Göttingen Center for Digital Humanities and the Lower Saxony Academy of Sciences in Göttingen, among others.

Johanna Störiko's research interests include historical press and advertising, consumer history, as well as typography and the art of printing at the turn of the century. She is also involved in OCR model training, the Semantic Web, Linked Open Data and application programming in Python.
