  • ASA Programme
    With the ASA Programme, young Europeans work and learn during three-month internships at a development organisation in Africa, Asia, Latin America or Southeast Europe. ASA prepares its participants, finances travel expenses and organises a scholarship for the duration of the stay.

  • German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
    Short-term grants for internships within the framework of programmes of study related to countries abroad and for financing possibilities of independently attained internships in international organisations / German representation abroad; in addition, travel allowances for internships abroad can be applied for.

  • Carlo Schmid Programme
    Promotes internships at international organisations and EU institutions.
    The Carlo Schmid Programme is lead by the German Academic exchange Service (DAAD) and the German National Academic Foundation. It is mainly funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany. The implementation of the programme takes place in cooperation with the Tönissteiner Group (association of internationally experienced German leaders in science, business and politics). The Mercator Foundation plays an active role in the implementation and funding of the programme via its "Mercator Program Center". The Federal Foreign Office actively aids in finding internships and in supporting the scholarship holders on site.
