Welcome to the Campus Centre of Biodiversity and Sustainable Land Use

The Campus Centre consolidates the expertise in biodiversity and sustainable land use research available at the University of Göttingen. Researchers and teachers in life and social sciences are engaged in studying the impacts of climate change, land use changes, and biodiversity loss.

The interdisciplinary research field sites cover a range of semi-natural to intensively-managed agricultural and forested land, from individual plots to landscape-level studies. We focus on temporal and spatial interactions between above- and below-ground organisms (groups), dynamics of ecosystem processes, and their impact on ecosystem services.

Social and economic research themes address the links between people, their land use and consumption behaviour, as well as the management of natural resources.
