Studium der Philosophie, Musikwissenschaft und Psychologie in Bonn, Nanjing und Berlin. Nach Abschluss des Studiums zunächst Tätigkeit als Unternehmensberaterin bei der Boston Consulting Group Berlin. Promotion an der Universität Stuttgart 2015 mit einer Arbeit zur Struktur von Emotionen. 2015 – 2021 Akademische Rätin an der Universität Stuttgart. Forschungsaufenthalt an der University of Hong Kong (2018).

Philosophie des Geistes (Emotion, Empathie, Gedächtnis), Sozialphilosophie, Praktische Philosophie (ethische Fragen im Themenfeld Erinnerung und kollektives Gedächtnis), Ästhetik (emotionale/empathische Reaktionen auf Kunst), Chinesische Philosophie (insbesondere Konfuzianismus)
