China, Fudan University, School of Economics
Fudan University (Chinese: Fùdàn Dàxué) lies in Shanghai, China's metropolis with over 18 million inhabitants, and is one of the oldest universities in the country. Moreover, it is one of the leading universities in the People's Republic. Its institutional predecessor was founded in 1905 shortly before the end of the Qing Dynasty. In 1941 it was converted to the public “National Fudan University”.
The partnership with the “School of Economics” began in the winter semester 2013/ 2014. The school’s focus is on economics and other economic sciences. It is possible to apply within the framework of the regular application procedure.
This exchange will be supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) until 2021. Three scholarships are available to Göttingen students every spring semester (February to July) and three every fall semester (September to January). This enables six students to study for one semester at a Chinese university. In exchange, six students from Fudan come each year to Göttingen. The DAAD makes funds available for this exchange from its funding programme for international study and internship partnerships (ISAP program).
