ACADEMIC CAREER

• Since May 2025 member at the Centre for Global Migration Studies (FuturMig research project), Georg-August-University Göttingen

• 2018-2025 Research Associate at the Multilingualism in Schools Unit, Institute for Educational Research in the School of Education, University of Wuppertal

• Summer semester 2021 and winter semester 2021/22 Visiting professor at the Institute of Educational Science at the University of Kassel (in the context of the professorship “Primary School Didactics, Multilingualism and Social Participation”)

• 2017 Completion of the doctoral procedure (title of the dissertation: "Schreiben für Viabilität. Konstitutionsprozesse von Schreibenden-Subjekten in der Migrationsgesellschaft“, University of Vienna, supervised by İnci Dirim and Paul Mecheril; overall grade ”with distinction")

• 2013-2018 Senior Scientist at the DaF/DaZ department of the Institute of German Studies, University of Vienna

• 2011-2013 Research assistant in the third-party funded project “Diversity and Multilingualism in Pedagogical Professions” (University of Vienna). Project management: İnci Dirim and Marion Döll, funded by the Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture (BMUKK)

STUDIES AND TEACHING ACTIVITIES

• 2001-2007 Studied German language and literature with a focus on German as a foreign and second language, studied education and English language and literature at the universities of Augsburg and Vienna, graduated with a degree in philosophy (with distinction)

• 2003-2004 Studied English language and literature at the University of Warwick (UK) on a DAAD scholarship

• 2006 Internship abroad as part of the DaF/DaZ focus of the degree course: teaching at Perm Technical University (Russia)

• 2004-2011 Conception and management of courses in German as a second language for young people and adults at various educational institutions in Vienna
