Research interests

In my research I focus on the exchange of energy and greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, H2O, N2O) in oil palm plantations to quantify the overall climate impact of land-use changes and management practices. I use the eddy covariance technique to quantify the net greenhouse gas balance and the turbulent components of the surface energy budget. I am also interested in the effects of extreme events, e.g. El Niño, on the microclimate, carbon budget and partitioning of the surface energy balance components.
