Ergospirometry

Numerous craft activities, not only in the forestry sector, are characterized by a high physical strain on workers. To measure and compare the actual workload, the department has an ergospirometry unit. This analyzes the amount and composition of the exhaled air of the test subjects and allows the calculation of the internal energy expenditure for an activity. This can on the one hand support the decision on the reasonableness of a procedure. On the other hand, the information gained can also be used to identify efficient work processes or movement sequences.
