As the examination office does not receive an automatic notification when you finish your study programme, it is necessary to apply for the provision of your graduation certificate click (here) for the application form). Please submit your form via email. Before you do so, please make sure that all grades are provided and grades are converted (if you are entitled to do so, click (here) for the form).
If you require any personal consultation concerning your graduation certificate, please contact the member of staff responsible
Information about Exmatriculation/Withdrawal from Study Programme at your own risk:
It is necessary that you stay matriculated until you have submitted your last exam (eg. Final thesis, research paper, exam etc.)
The examination office can guarantee your degree only if all grades are submitted at FlexNow. Until this moment, your exmatriculation will happen at your own risk. You will not be able to revise any exams after this point, as you are not enrolled as a current student of this University. In case of re-enrollment, you will automatically be enrolled in the latest examination regulation (PStO). This may cause further difficulties/challenges in the completion of your study programme.
Legalisation of a document for international use (Apostille):
In many cases, German documents (e.g. graduation certificates) will only be officially recognised internationally, if their authenticity has been proven through a special (international) process. This process includes the proof of authenticity of signatures and official seals at the document. For further information, click here.
Information about changing your study programme:
If you decide to change your study programme to a different subject, you will automatically be enrolled in the latest examination regulation (PStO). This is identical to the case of re-enrollment after an exmatriculation.
Please note that the examination office will not be informed automatically in case of your re-enrollment or the change of your study programme. In order to transfer certain credits (ECTS) to your study programme, please contact the member of staff responsible for your study programme at the examination office.
