MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMME IN "POLITIKWISSENSCHAFT: NATIONALSTAAT UND GLOBALISIERUNG" (from winter semester 2022/23)

THE PROGRAMME

Against the backdrop of financial crises, worldwide migration movements, the populist threat to democracy, the Corona pandemic and the climate crisis, the question of how political order can be formed and changed under the conditions of globalisation is becoming increasingly important. What is the relationship between the multiple forms of modern governance and the still important politics of the nation state?
In this degree programme, students deepen their scientific knowledge as well as their skills for independent subject-specific and interdisciplinary scientific work and for the application of scientific knowledge. The focus is always on how political order can form and change under the conditions of globalisation. The Master's programme combines a compact and research-oriented in-depth study of all political science sub-disciplines with attractive elective options.
