The DAAD is supporting the double degree programmes with Florence and Stellenbosch

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is supporting two double degree programmes of the Faculty in economics. For the double degree programme with the University of Florence in Italy, around EUR 88,600 has been made available from 2018 to 2020. For students in the University of Göttingen’s master’s degree programme in development economics, there are four scholarships per year, for a stay of ten months in Florence (which includes a monthly stipend, monthly health insurance contribution, and travel allowance). In addition, the financial support includes funding for the exchange of lecturers (short-term guest lectureships at both universities).

The double degree programme with the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa will be supported from 2018 to 2022 with funding of up to EUR 200,000. Three scholarships each, for both students from Göttingen and Stellenbosch, are available each year for ten-month stays at the partner university. For students of the Faculty, the financial support includes a monthly stipend, monthly health insurance contribution, and a travel allowance. The double degree programme with Stellenbosch University is also offered as part of the master's programme in development economics. Students from the University of Stellenbosch will also receive a monthly allowance for living expenses. In addition, funding is also available for the exchange of short-term guest lecturers.
