As a result of networking between universities in Germany and abroad and the introduction of new teaching and examination formats, the need grows for courses, disputations, conferences and the like also to be able to be carry out online. German universities often use Adobe Connect for these purposes. Even if the system seems to be easy to use, you need a certain amount of know-how to plan and implement interesting and didactically prepared webinars. After all, teachers who dare to use webinars must master the technology and at the same time meet the special requirements of online didactics.

In order to convey the necessary knowledge and skills to the teachers at the eCULT universities, a moderation course for Adobe Connect was jointly developed by the HAWK Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen and the University of Göttingen within the scope of the eCULT project.

The course includes the following contents:

  • Features and functionality of Adobe Connect (whiteboard, chat, sharing, polls, layouts, file sharing, group work)
  • Participant activation methods
  • Applications of Adobe Connect in different didactic scenarios
  • Planning, structuring and conducting a webinar
  • Dealing with technical challenges
  • Roles and permissions
  • DFN-backend
  • Practice: Carrying out your own mini-sessions in the virtual space

Duration: 2 hours on each date

Location: On your own computer via the program Adobe Connect

Dates: Wednesdays, at 08:00 a.m. - 09:45 a.m.. Please allow about 2-4 hours for online work in working groups.
Each training includes four online sessions. All four sessions must be visited.

  • Training 1 (February - March 2019)
    • 27.02.2019
    • 06.03.2019

Learning objectives:

The participants

  • know the basics of giving and receiving feedback and various feedback methods.
