Wie[so] promovieren?

Graduation is approaching and with it the question: What then? Am I interested in remaining at university? Shall I do a doctorate? How does one go about that, exactly? What possibilities exist for funding? How should I deal with the uncertainties brought by the transition phase from graduating to embarking on a new and unfamiliar phase of independent academic work? And finally: What may I expect to gain from having a doctorate?

In the series “Wie[so] promovieren?“ we wish to give you support and orientation to remove these uncertainties. We would like to accompany you in your decision-making for or against doing a PhD and to equip you with the basic knowledge needed to enable you to take the next steps on your career track. The series is designed for students in the humanities who will shortly be completing their degree studies (M.A./M.Ed./Dipl./ Staats¬examen/Kirchliches Examen). It is organised and funded by the Faculty of Humanities, the Theology Faculty and the Graduiertenschule für Geisteswissenschaften Göttingen (GSGG).

You are welcome to attend individual events within the series or the series as a whole. The events are free of charge.
