The major part of the funding acquired by GSGG is used to provide its doctoral and postdoctoral members with direct support. Our aim is to support early career researchers in their professional development and in establishing academic networks.
The Executive Committee of GSGG decides on the awarding of these grants quarterly, following a competitive application procedure. Additionally, the Christian-Gottlob-Heyne-Preis is awarded annually for the best dissertation in the Humanities of the past year.
Please note: The number of grants awarded as well as the amount of allowances is dependent on the budget situation of GSGG.
