Library and Sound Archive

The library of the department of musicology opens for readers from 10th of August till 2nd of October 2020
opening hours:
Mon-Thu 10-16
Fri 13:30-18

Working spaces are the rooms 002 and 101. Please check in before usage in the library office (023). Prior appointment via Email (Bibliothek.MuWi@uni-goettingen.de) 24 hours before visit is mandatory. Please state date and time of your visit as well as required books (title and shelf mark).
Unfortunately, the copy-printer is not permitted for usage at the moment.

The front door of the department of musicology is locked. Without prior appointment, your ringing the bell might not be noticed by library staff!

Please wear a mouth-nose-protection when entering the department of musicology and refer to our hygene policy.

Extended week-end-loan for students
Take out:
Thur 10.30 - 14.00 and 15.00 - 17.00
Fri 10.00 - 12.00 and 13.30 - 15.30

Return:
Tue 11.30 - 15.00

Loan of up to 3 media for up to 6 days is possible, the loan period cannot be extended. Please state the titles and shelf marks of the required media along with the dates and hours of take out and return in an E-Mail (Bibliothek.MuWi@uni-goettingen.de) 24 hours before take out at the latest. Unfortunately, the copying machine is not permitted for use at the moment.

Without prior appointment, the library staff may not be aware of your ringing the door!

Library

The library of the Department of Musicology is a reference library.
It comprises approx. 23.000 volumes, sheet music and musicological journals. It is possible to borrow recording devices for sound recording work (further information on "Services"). Please ask the library staff!
