Graduates of the summer semester bid farewell with ceremony

Best of the year are awarded the "Florenz Sartorius Prize" in the old auditorium


With an academic ceremony on Friday, 3 February 2023, the Faculty of Business and Economics at Göttingen University said goodbye to its graduates of the summer semester 2022. A total of 408 students graduated in the summer semester. 239 of them completed a Bachelor's programme, 169 a Master's programme.

Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Stefan Dierkes and the chair of the examination board, Prof. Dr. Indre Maurer, welcomed the guests. Ann-Catrin Gras, representing the graduates of the summer semester, gave a speech, and also Kathrin Dahnke spoke as an alumna of the faculty. Dahnke studied business administration in Göttingen and was, among other things, Chief Financial Officer of OSRAM Licht AG and also headed the finance department at Ottobock. She is further a member of the supervisory board of various companies such as Knorr Bremse AG and of the advisory board of the Faculty of Business and Economics.

In addition, the "Florenz Sartorius Prizes" donated by Sartorius AG in Göttingen were awarded during the event. The best graduates of the individual disciplines received a prize. The faculty honoured Anna-Maria Rohe (Bachelor of Science in Business), Niklas Lück (Master of Science in Applied Statistics), Carolin Falk (Master of Education in Business and Human Resource Education) and Markus Wetterich (Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems) for their outstanding academic achievements.
