Metal workshop

Our Precision Mechanics Workshop
The combined departmental and faculty workshop, in addition to the usual lathes and milling machines for shaping parts from different materials and in different sizes, also features a forge and welding equipment for various materials.

Our Work
In our precision mechanics workshop, we manufacture, for example, custom-fit test rigs and measurement technology solutions for our research activities to evaluate innovative technologies and working methods from ecological, economic, and ergonomic perspectives. Thus, prototypes of ergonomically optimized planting tools, adapters for performance measurements on chainsaws, and a test rig for loading and sizing contact surface pressures under bogie belts were created.

Your Service Provider
With our precision mechanics workshop, we are active as a service provider for the entire university beyond the faculty boundaries. We take over all necessary work for you: from the conception and design of tailored technical solutions according to your defined requirements to the realization of individual pieces and prototypes or even small series. Furthermore, our portfolio of services also includes adapting existing workpieces as well as repairing them or complex systems.

Your Project
We are happy to make our expertise and flexible approach available to support you in your project as best as possible:
