Influence of invasive species on tree natural regeneration in a biodiversity enrichment experiment in Sumatra, Indonesia

Bed Prakash Dhakal is a Master student and doing his MSc degree in Sustainable forest and nature management. Currently, Dhakal is doing his MSc thesis entitled “Influence of invasive species on tree natural regeneration in a biodiversity enrichment experiment in Sumatra, Indonesia”. His study focuses on:

  • factors affecting the colonization of the invasive species Clidemia hirta in a biodiversity enrichment experiment;
  • effects of invasion on the natural regeneration of native tree species in EFForTS-BEE experimental plots;
  • and influence of invasive species, Clidemia hirta, on oil palm yield in a biodiversity enrichment experiment.

This master thesis is supervised by Dr. Gustavo Brant Paterno and Prof. Dr. Holger Kreft.
