The module includes a project work, which one does in a research group of the core computer science or the application subject (depending on the module).Ideally, this work prepares the bachelor thesis and is therefore recommended shortly before the bachelor thesis.

To register, students contact the desired research group and inquire about topics. There they can also contribute their own ideas and ask for a suitable supervisor. The supervisor then sets a task that fits into the student's area of interest. Regular meetings ensure progress. After completing the assignment, which usually takes several months, the student writes a report of no more than 10 pages or collaborates on a research paper.
