The 43rd conference Generative Grammatik des Südens (GGS) will take place at the University of Goettingen from 16th to 18th June 2017. Organizers are Anke Holler (SDP), Uwe Junghanns (SSP), Guido Mensching (SRP), Markus Steinbach (SDP), and Hedde Zeijlstra (SEP).

On August 9, 2016, Uwe Junghanns and Hagen Pitsch held an Evening Lecture titled Complex sentence structures in Slavic at the Göttingen Spirit Summer School on Complex Clauses.

On October 12, 2015 the Workshop on Sentence Types and Mood takes place in the media room of the English Department. Its organizers are Andreas Blümel, Eva Csipak, Olga Kellert and Hagen Pitsch. The 12th German Congress of Slavists took place from October 1-3, 2015 at the University of Gießen. Contributions from Göttingen Slavic linguistics: Genia Böhnisch ("Towards an analysis of internet conversations"), Uwe Junghanns ("Sentence structure (and embedding in texts)") und Hagen Pitsch ("Bulgarian da as a/modal INFL").

From the current winter term 2013/14 on, several linguistic departments including Slavic Linguistics organize a cross-language linguistic colloquium series. Each department invites speakers whose contributions matter to a broad linguistic audience.

May 21st 2013, Hagen Pitsch was given the opportunity to open a new colloquium organized by the student representatives of the Linguistic Department. The topic of his talk was his Ph.D. dissertation. Within the newly established colloquium, Ph.D. students from various linguistic and philological departments of the University of Göttingen are able to present their current work.

The Proceedings of FDSL 9, which took place at Göttingen University in Dec 2011 for the first time, has now been published by "Peter Lang" (Frankfurt am Main). It is part of the series Linguistik International (vol. 28).
The volume contains 16 contributions concerning the lexicon, syntax, semantics, information structure and phonology in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Bulgarian, Czech, Polish, Russian and Slovenian.
Slavic linguistics has been integrated into Linguistics in Göttingen, the newly established collective homepage of the linguistics institutions in Göttingen.
From now on, you may choose to study the newly invented M.A. program "Linguistics" which is a joint project of the following departments:

We cooperated with the German Department (Anke Holler and Markus Steinbach) as well as with the Romanic Department (Sascha Gaglia).

The Slavic Department organized the 9th European Conference "Formal Description of Slavic Languages" (FDSL) in Göttingen. 24 current contributions concerning formal syntax, phonetics/phonology, morphology, semantics and corpus linguistics have been presented.
